Gregory Cohen created this website to share resources he has identified for his training work and while exploring tools for the members of InsideNGO to share information on best practices and capture that information in an enduring way. These resources are also important for the work of NPOKI, a "Knowledge Cooperative" of health-related NGOs and funders for which Greg advises. You will also find resources to supplement trainings for Cause Effective and others on nonprofit start-up operations on Everything But Money: Fundraising For Nonprofit Ventures and Ethics For Nonprofits. 

Nonprofits have approached collaboration or information sharing, particularly using internet tools as a resource, through several disciplines. There is substantial overlap. One is through the creation of LearningCommunities. Another, more focused on the tools of collaboration, is KnowledgeManagement. I have provided links to efforts by nonprofit organizations around the world to share information on these disciplines. My emphasis is on international development, although there are pioneering efforts on specific topics including general nonprofit management, leadership development and capacity-building. At this point, I have not included the technology-specific technical assistance groups, which are well documented elsewhere, starting with TechSoup, N-Ten and Npower.
